We are thrilled to announce Professor John Y. Campbell as the Keynote Speaker for the 2026 ARES Annual Conference in Sandestin, FL (March 24–28, 2026). Professor Campbell is the Morton L. and Carole S. Olshan Professor of Economics at Harvard University and a towering figure in finance and macroeconomics. As the recent winner of the 2026 Michael J. Seiler Behavioral Research Commendation, Professor Campbell brings unparalleled expertise in areas like equity valuation, portfolio choice, and household finance. His address will be a major highlight as we explore new courses and opportunities shaping the real estate investment landscape.

Professor Campbell’s remarkable career includes publishing over 100 articles in top journals and authoring influential books like The Econometrics of Financial Markets. His insights, drawn from serving as President of the American Finance Association and co-founding the quantitative asset management company Arrowstreet Capital, will provide invaluable strategic guidance for both academics and practitioners. Paper Submissions Now Open

We invite ARES members and friends to submit papers, panel discussions, posters, and other submissions on novel topics within the disciplines of real estate. As real estate scholars and practitioners, we must continue to analyze the complex opportunities and challenges that await in 2026.

Update: We have had great response to our call for submissions. In order to accommodate end-of-semester schedules, and to avoid any rotten fruit being hurled at us, we are extending the submission deadline until December 19th, 2025. Don’t hesitate to pass this info onto colleagues who might also be interested in submitting a paper or panel. Our distribution list is long, but not exhaustive – help us get the word out!
