Premium Membership

Membership in ARES is open to anyone with an interest in real estate research. This includes academics in a wide variety of fields such as economics, finance, marketing, geography and other areas, as well as professional researchers, analysts, appraisers and others. Institutions that engage in real estate-related businesses will find a sponsorship to ARES to be a rewarding experience.

There are three categories of Premium Membership: President's Council, Regent and Sponsor. ARES also has a Fellow designation for individuals. The company names the President's Council, Regent and Sponsor members and the name and affiliations of Fellows will appear in the front matter of all the journals and in other ARES publications throughout the year.

Regents Benefits and Membership Information

ARES Regent ($3,000/year) Membership includes the following:

  • Name of company printed on one of the front pages of all ARES publications (journals, newsletters, annual program, etc.)
  • Opens the door to all other ARES functions (e.g., manuscript prizes, special issues of journals, etc.)
  • Six people put on mailing list to receive all ARES publications. This includes:
    • The Journal of Real Estate Research (JRER) - four times a year
    • The Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management (JREPM) - four times a year
    • The Journal of Real Estate Literature (JREL) - three times a year
    • The Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education (JREPE) - semi-annual
    • The Journal of Housing Research (JHR) - semi-annual
    • The Journal of Sustainable Real Estate (JSRE)
  • Real Estate Research Issues monograph (annual) - a research book with studies on a central theme

President's Council Benefits and Membership Application

ARES President's Council ($6,000) Membership includes the following:
