James R Webb ARES Foundation Global Ambassador Sponsorship Application

Call for Applications

The James R Webb ARES Foundation Global Ambassador Sponsorships assist ARES Foundation supporters with attending and presenting their research at IRES sister society conferences. The award can be used to pay for conference registration, lodging, airfare, and visa fees with a maximum award of US$1000. ARES members who support the Society and Foundation through volunteering or financial donations are invited to apply. The purpose of the program is to encourage networking and develop international research, education, and society relationships that will grow the number of international participants in ARES annual conferences, identify potential ARES journal editorial board members, and increase international submissions to ARES journals.

To apply for the James R Webb ARES Foundation Global Ambassador Sponsorship please complete the online form below as soon as possible. Approvals will be made on a rolling basis based on available funds.

To qualify for this program, the recipient must:

Be a member of ARES.
Agree to attend all official dates of the conference for which expenses are reimbursed.
Priority will be given to Foundation Fellows, Foundation Board members, leaders in the ARES conference doctoral program/awards committee, and active leaders in ARES (FLARES, journals, committees) who are university faculty/researchers. The Foundation would especially like to receive applications from ARES members who have never attended a sister society conference.
