With a direct exposure to the Pacific Ocean and within 30 steps of the beach, Fess Parker's DoubleTree Resort provides a delightful venue for the ARES 2000 Annual Meeting. The hotel's dramatic architecture reflects the Spanish influence in beautiful Santa Barbara, one of the original Spanish mission towns. The city's unique ocean mountain setting makes it one of the most picturesque in the world. A myriad of activities are at your doorstep including the restaurants and shops of Stearns Wharf, the historical Mission Santa Barbara, more shopping and dining in nearby downtown and in upscale Montecito, whale watching, golf, deep-sea fishing, and beach volleyball in front of the hotel.
