How do I get to Sandestin?

The Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) is the primary airport serving Sandestin, Florida. The conference hotel (Loews Hotel Effie) is 28 miles from the airport and is around a 45 min. drive.

Will I be able to get an invitation letter if I am an international attendee?

Any attendee whose paper is accepted and requires such a letter will be sent a letter by either the program chair or the current ARES President. If you have questions please feel free to email jdb0068@auburn.edu or oatidwell@ua.edu

What is included in the registration fee for the conference?

The registration fees cover costs to attend the conference, evening reception on Tuesday (March 24), evening reception on Wednesday (March 25), lunch on Thursday (March 26), evening reception on Thursday (March 26), and evening reception on Friday (March 27). Breakfast and coffee are also provided starting Wednesday.

When does the conference start?

The first event of the conference is the Tuesday night Board of Directors Reception, (all registered guests are welcome) starting at 6:00PM on the 24th of March.

When will I be notified of the acceptance of our paper?

The notification window starts on December 5, 2025. The sooner you submit your work, the sooner you will be notified of your acceptance status.
