Please provide your award nominations no later than November 1, 2025. All nominations must be made through the below online nomination form. The recipient will be supported with up to $1,000 in travel expense reimbursement including airfare
and hotel and must attend and actively participate (e.g., a panel, paper or presentation) in the ARES meeting to receive the award.
Michael J. Seiler Behavioral Research Commendation
Recognizes a person who has published a substantial body of behavioral related research in real estate OR real estate adjacent topics in top journals, spanning at least ten years, that innovates and greatly extends behavioral research knowledge. The award
is designed to encourage more research in Behavioral Real Estate, seemingly from those currently outside the field.
Eligibility:
- Publishes high-level journal studies in the behavioral area, with an eye towards real estate.
- Minimum of 10 years of publication in quality journals.
- Desire to publish on real estate or real estate-related topics.
Application Process:
- Annual application deadline is November 1.
- Nomination Letter. Self-nominations are welcome.
- Include CV.
Voting:
- Selected by no less than a two-thirds vote by the Executive Committee and the donor, while living.
