The Beracha and Johnson Housing Ranking Index

The Index, developed and maintained by researchers Eli Beracha, Ph.D., and Ken H. Johnson, Ph.D., measures the difference between statistically estimated average home prices (long-term pricing trend) and actual average home prices for the largest metro housing markets in the US.

Top 100 U.S. Housing Markets for Over/Underpricing

Using open-source data from Zillow or other providers, researchers, Bennie D. Waller, Ph.D., Ken H. Johnson, Ph.D., and Eli Beracha, Ph.D., have developed a methodology to score the top 100 most overpriced or underpriced metropolitan cities in the U.S.

Free FHFA Data for ARES Members

FHFA has taken the time to create two datasets from the National Mortgage Database® (NMDB), a nationally representative five percent sample of closed-end first-lien residential mortgages in the United States, that you can use in your original research. They only ask that you cite their paper, but otherwise, there are no strings attached.
