In this section of the ARES.ORG web site, we are looking to help
those that wish to go back to the roots of Amateur radio when Ham's built their radios
from pieces-parts. There has always been that little voice that speaks to a time
past, a time when if you wanted to be on the air, you had to build your radio's, antennas
and tuners.
. |
In that pursuit, we are adding links to sites that offer plans and
other information for QRP radios. So what is QRP? For those non-amateurs that don't
know what QRP is, it's "The Art of Low Power Radio" where the challenge is
to operate and/or build AM radio transmitters using a bare minimum of components, money
and construction skill.
.
If you are looking for plans to build a QRP rig like the
diagram, you will find links to sites that will offer plans and help in your quest to
capture a little of the history of HAM radio.
